Valbreso® Cheese Meat Balls

Ingredients:

  • 7 oz Valbreso® Cheese Chunk
  • 1 small onion
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 21 oz ground beef or lamb
  • 2 tbsp tomato puree
  • 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • Salt, pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Directions:

  1. Cut the onion and garlic finely. Add tomato puree, breadcrumbs and egg to minced meat in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper and mix well. Divide the minced meat mixture into 20 servings.
  2. Cut the Valbreso® Cheese Chunk into about 20 dices. Flatten each serving of meat, place a slice of Valbreso® Cheese and form meatballs. Heat the oil in a non-stick skillet.
  3. Brown the minced meatballs over medium heat on all sides for about 10 minutes.
  4. Serve with vegetables or pita bread.
